Tips for tourists

The town of Šumperk is surrounded by the Jeseníky Mountains and its surroundings will satisfy both families with children and more demanding travelers and athletes.

In winter, it is worth visiting the Kouty Ski Resort, a ski resort with the first six-seater chairlift in the Czech Republic and a three-kilometer ski slope. One of the most famous winter resorts is the Červenohorské sedlo Ski Resort, where even the most demanding skiers will enjoy the steep slalom slope.

In summer, on the other hand, it is worth getting on your bike and riding along the new Moravian Trail cycle route. It is a link between the Jeseníky Mountains and South Moravia. From Šumperk, you can head towards the Polish border, where you can connect to the cycle route leading to the Polish Miedzygórz or drive south through Litovelské Pomoraví, through Olomouc to the Lednice-Valtice area.

Velké Losiny is definitely not to be missed! Just a few kilometers from Šumperk, you can visit a castle that is associated with the witch trials that took place in the years 1678-1692. Another attraction is the Hand Paper Mill, where you can find out how paper is made. A rarity in the Czech Republic is the thermal park, Termály Losiny. It is the only one that offers a relaxing and regenerative water world, pools filled with sulfur thermal water. It has beneficial effects on the musculoskeletal system and, among other things, helps with skin and circulatory problems. The thermal park is located in the spa complex, the oldest and most famous in Moravia.

History lovers will certainly be interested in Bouzov Castle, which filmmakers chose as a backdrop for their films and fairy tales. Úsov Castle, built from one of the oldest castles in Moravia, will attract attention with its unique hunting and forestry museum.

Spa and relaxation in the area

The surroundings of Šumperk are perfect for relaxation. In the Velké Losiny spa, you can enjoy healing treatments, thermal pools and relaxing wellness with a view of nature. The unique thermal waters, peaceful surroundings and a wide range of services make them an ideal place to regenerate body and mind.

In addition to the spa, the surroundings also attract people to relax in nature - easy walks, cycling trails or quiet corners of the Jeseníky Mountains. Whether you are looking for a wellness experience, warm thermal water or just a quiet place to relax, Šumperk and its surroundings offer everything you could wish for.
